General Revelation

In the second week of our series we investigated how God has revealed Himself generally to man. He reveals Himself through three distinct avenues: a) Nature (Psalm 19:1-4; Romans 1:18-21) b) Conscience (Romans 2:14-15), and c) the conviction of the Holy Spirit (John 16:7-8). We affirmed the total depravity of man while simultaneously affirming that God intervenes in the life of every man through the Holy Spirit’s conviction. This led into a discussion about the providence of God where Calvinism, Arminianism and Molinism were discussed briefly.
