In week 5, we discussed the final two forms of special revelation: 1) the incarnate Word 2) the written word. We saw that Jesus is the preeminent form of God’s revelation. Yahweh came down to dwell among man in the Person of Jesus, just like he did with the Exodus generation (John 1:14 cf. Exodus 40: 34-38). Jesus reveals the glory and the nature of God, and is the means by which He extends salvation to all men.
We also touched on the written word as God’s final and authoritative form of God’s revelation, while reserving the substantive discussion for the doctrine of Scripture, taken up in week 6.
